Biography: Dr. Rao's research interests are in colloidal and interfacial phenomenon of aqueous solid slurries in various industrial processes such as froth flotation, tailing treatment and clay materials engineering. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mineral Engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology in China, Ph.D degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí in Mexico. In 2013, he worked as Postdoctoral Fellow on the flotation of partially oxidized sulfide ores in the University of Alberta in Canada. In 2014, he was selected as Chair of Young Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology and Level one of the National System of Researchers in Mexico. In the same year, he was assigned as professor in the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo in Mexico. |
